The Ottawa Social Housing Network, OSHN for short, is a volunteer-led network that offers leadership development, knowledge exchange, and advocacy opportunities for Ottawa-based affordable housing providers. OSHN’s Shared Services project is working to support initiatives that will increase efficiency and provide opportunities for economies of scale with providers.
OSHN is directed by a volunteer steering committee whose members reflect the diversity in the housing sector (local housing corporations, non-profit housing providers, cooperatives, and supportive housing) as well as housing providers with specific target populations such as Indigenous housing and seniors’ housing. There are also representatives from housing advocacy organizations and from associations such as the Cooperative Housing Association of Eastern Ontario (CHASEO).
